One of my fav sayings goes, "Even the blind Squirrel finds an acorn now and again". Of course it is referring to anyone can be lucky now and again, it's kinda inevitable..
So there I was a few months ago dealing with the dross and dreck of the lushpits called Russian Dating Sites and lo and behold I am contacted by some chickie from Russia, just out of the blue. It turns out she liked my "structure", always one of the scammer key words, called me her "mysterious stranger", another scammer fav and wanted "serious relations" with me, yet another scammer phrase.
So well armed with my scammer kit of multiple beers, multiple ciggies, copious amounts of food and my ACME foot massager I sat down to have some fun with this critter. And lo and behold.................she's genuine!! I mean what a bastage, I was so narky I almost threw a perfectly good half full can of beer onto the neighbours roof, feh.
Talk about deflated................but I guess it does happen.

Her English may be so poor that she "borrowed" a few phrases here and there. Anyway how could a girl not love a melon like that?

How did you come to the conclusion she was real? She read your letters and answered your questions, or was that second six pack tooooo good?

there are plenty of real vlads to go around.
there's no excuse in baiting a 'real' lady, and if this happened, its certainly nothing to be proud of.

matter of fact, there is a forum in russian where real russian women talk about idiots, including inept baiters, they ran into on dating sites.

the real scammers are too easy to find and identify.
it can usually be done in the first email.
if you can't find the easy clues in the headers then you have more time consuming work ahead of you.

there's no excuse in baiting a real person.

this is not as simple as joining a dating site and harassing everyrussian lady who responds!

I may have misread the original message. Was reading them on a mobile phone, and the qoutes in the signature are mixed in with the post.

Are you saying you think a 'real' one slipped through??

Be careful. There are some scammers that aren't the traditional email and chat type.

Well I discovered that she was real by chatting with her extensively, she always answered my letters with real not generic letters, her photo's always checked out as being real and not from a site and so on..we still correspond to this day actually, just as good friends and until she proves otherwise by asking for money we shall continue.
Stepan, I don't think there was any need for such a rebuke like your original post. I never said I baited this real lady, I said I thought she was a scammer and then realised she was real so stopped any thoughts of baiting her there and then. Perhaps in the future it would be hoped you had the decency to send me your rebuke via a personal message rather than villifying me in this public forum as you have on this occassion.

sorry, you're right! I had various alarm bells going off in my head when I read your post, and still do.

I should have pm'd you for clarification.

I'm protective of the romance baiting avocation, and tend to make statements in posts intended for the public, in general.

will reply to your pm. sorry, again, but proceed with caution.

I don't want baiters to think baiting romance scammers is a good way to find 'real' girls!!
its not!
(uh oh! another lecture trying to sneak in......) Smile
