Today I got an e-mail claiming to represent a charity for a burn victim. The pictures are too graphic to even post a link too. Plus it is a real victim somewhere, who had his pictures stolen by the lads.

I fear good hearted folks may fall for this scam, so I wanted to bring this to you attention. It might merit the special attention of a mass bait. I'll PM a few folks who I saw also worked the sick children's scam and death threat scam (although I only know them by their work on those scams) to get the ball rolling

Thanks for the pm thedevguy67. I got one in a similar vein some time back, supposed to be a car accident victim which was clearly someone shot in the face. I was too revulsed by it at the time to bait it, and I deleted the pictures.

The sickening thing is that these pictures will be sent to anyone, and if something like this turns my stomach, I hate to think of the effect on people less hardened, like your kids.

I'll be on board with something straight to see what is on offer.

I've gone for something novel - free flights and luxury accomodation for donors to have skin cultures taken and grown in the UK. I know how much they value UK hospitality. If I can lure them (slim chance - but worth trying) then I'll need visa photos. Always nice to have photos of pond scum.

If I am shunned - I'll come back at another angle.

Good to see you folks on board. I am playing it straight for now. He will be getting an email from Bishop Stern on behalf of the good people of Blumpkin Road Church. I might just shoot straight for some banking information right away. Also, I could not track his IP in the headers, but the address listed on the letter leads to mugu land.

Also, the pictures is intolerable. I worked in a hospital and seen critical burn victims. The poor man in the photo has third degree burns over 80% of body including his face.

These scams sicken me because they capitalize on real human suffering and then use it to scam good hearted people who don't know better.

The lad was just sent an email from Bishop Stern. He offered $10K as well as the prayers of the whole Blumpkin Road Church. I told him a bank transfer would be fastest, and this is how we normally send funds to our missionaries in Africa and Asia

I'm going to bait straight for now. See if I can get some bank info. If so I will share it here and pass it on to Alan. Deaded accounts have a way of making these lads lives hard. This mugu deserves what he has comming to him. Maybe by keeping notes on this thread, we can play a few angles and keep him really off his feet.

I sent some abuse from one account (I couldnt resist, this type of scammer makes me feel ill)

and straight baiting from another, just my usual helpful, but incompotent character

I just sent him an email saying I have a doctor who is willing to donate her time. Since she is the worlds foremost burn specialist I am sure she can help.

I got my reply today. No bank informaiton yet. the standard WU to Lagos modality he wants. I wrote a bunch of stuff about prayers, and then told him I will conviene our board of elders at the church tommorow. I'm posting this reply of his FYI, seems scripted to me

I got the same message. Looks like the churches will be busy tomorrow. I've sent almost the same reply as^^^
