Telephone question

Following the suggestions of the tips section, I got a free phone # from the 7K place. Just a question about it. Do I have to "set it up" or anything, such as putting a message that says "You've reached....."? Also, without using my regular phone, is there a way to test it (opposite coasts, don't feel like incurring long distance charges)?

If you're talking about a K7.net number, you don't have to 'set it up' unless you want to. It will have a generic greeting, saying that the user is not available, leave a message, yada, yada...
