I went for the 17" (ati radeon NOT the crappy intel 950) and spent the extra cash on a Lacie 250 gig firewire hard drive and a digital TV tuner. |

Shiver kills my custom built one i'm running right now  , and I'm a gamer  by .33 ghz and 1 gb of ram. My graphics card is old (let me stress.. OLD) and my hd is only 80 gb. |

The macbook is very quick as long as you don't use it for 3D intensive stuff. Because it uses an Intel GMA 950 GPU the graphics performance is terrible, but for anything else it is impressively fast (as you would expect with a Core 2 Duo), oh and make sure you specify a gig of RAM with it. |

She wont need it for any 3D stuff so it sounds great. I dont think she will make full use of it but as we have the Imac it seems silly not to get a mac laptop.
