Is this normal? (This is not related to my other scam bait i am doing in the help forum)
note: I cropped it a wee bit so it would fit on the page.
Has this guy been baited before? Does this mean things will be easier for me?

I think you'll find this is one of those pictures which many scammers use. Best part is when they try and shop a sign over the original fake pic when you ask for a trophy! |

I was randomly sent a photo of some scum claiming to be a soldier from Iraq. He sent me his NI number and photo and also a pic of him and the troops sorting out k's of dollars. I would post it here if I could enlarge it without over pixelling it. Does this mean I have him caught? |

To answer the original questionYes. Some scammers learned some people want to see a picture of him so they send one at the start to avoid the picture problem and so you know you are dealing with a real person (a whole other story). You can't draw any conclusions from this but don't try for trophys for a while. |

You didn't mention that it was Saddams' millions, but presumably that was the gist of the scam you received. Seen it, been there. The rascals--like Saddam--'hang' in there.
I continue to receive similar scam offers during the Iraq war. And I have one US Army HOS photo of 'Mark Edwards' posted by Shiver from me on this site. I think it was one of the first ones he received in this regard. ...My 1st inclination is to tear them a new hole to store the cash, but I either bait-along or delete.
I of course find it totally reprehensible and disgusting on the part of The Lads on more levels than I can quantify here to pose as ANY allied soldier. Their headers on the scam always trace back to Nigeria/Ghana.
