I hooked him. Gave him the option of helping my con or face an investigation. He chose to help me. Now time to get some errands done, some pics taken etc, and then get more personal and bank info and have him chase my dolla. If anyone wants to mentor me thru this I am happy to take suggestions (PM me).

After my first failed bank transfer - he hasn't gotten back to me. He seems to be taking it really slow with me and I haven't heard from an accountant.

Before him or his representative can travel to meet you, you need scanned copies of their passports and IDs, so you can make sure that there will be no problems with the US Immigration Department. These requirements, which are beyond your control, are essential following 9/11.

Get those first, before thinking about doing anything else. Take it slowly. You are in control, not him.

^^^ That is what we call an accommodation address, or drop box. I will not be where he lives. I have seen other addresses used like this. Probably a newsagent or something.

OK, something weird has happened and I think it might be related to this scam. I received the following message in two different addresses today. The reason I think it might be connected with this scam is because I used both of these addresses while attempting to bait this scammer. One is my "personal" address, and the other is the address of my "foundation". The only scammer who got messages from both of these boxes is our own 4llen R0bert5. (In fact, I created the foundation addy JUST for this lad!)
Can someone check the headers against the messages he is sending out now and see if there is any relation? I guess it is entirely possible that he just sold off his non-working addresses to another scammer, but I thought I would post here and see if our lad is trying to get out of the charity scam and into the "Saddam's money in a truck box" scam.

Army of D Company, 2nd Battalion 22nd,Infantry Regiment, Iraq. It�s been a
tasking job enforcing the peace here. The insurgents are buoyed by help from
Iran & Syria to undermine what we have achieved here. I have interesting
piece of news which will really blow your mind.

My platoon were deployed here near Tikrit Saturday @ 1900hrs as a call had
come about insurgent activity 20miles south on the outskirts of Tikrit.
Intel from insiders in Tikrit had it that they were taking a delivery of
arms from Iran.
We had to intercept, engage & control the situation. we could call in air
support if the need arose.

We sighted and engaged @ 2200hrs in a village SW of Tikrit.On perceiving our
presence; they first opened fire on us. We had to engage fully. It took a
while( 30mins) but we outgunned them massively. Finally, we brought the
situation under control and some of them fled, 6 were killed and we were
able to arrest 11 of them alive. Under interrogations one of them, whom I
got to know, was related to the cell leader, took us to their armory.
I took my some mates in a humvee and went there not too far from our
location. He took us to a deserted into us to a particular room inside the
building where Guns and Bombs were kept.

We conducted a search of all the rooms. in the basement where 5 trunk boxes.
I opened them and 3 were loaded with the US dollars. I was confused, I
ordered my immediate person to conceal the boxes not to show or tell anybody
about it and we all returned to our base.

At night of the same day, I took one of my people who found the boxes and we
went back there. We counted the money and they all amounted to $8.6million
in $100 bills. We decide to keep it for ourselves pending when I get out
from here. Already we have made arrangements with the Red Cross on how the
box containing the money will be flown out of Iraq without the officials of
Red Cross knowing the content of the box. We decided to use them due to
there immunity. I will need someone who won�t be too greedy so I can get a
share when I leave Iraq.

What will be required is someone with a good business or a good bank account
to help facilitate this transaction. If you know any way I can get the help
I need right now please oblige. The person will be adequately rewarded 30%
to be exact.

Linking into a wider scam net here using the same box. We would expect this. Might be interesting to see how wide this one goes. If this is wider than it seems that someone is getting very rich at the expense of those operating the scams for him- The poor almost destitute computer operators in the computer HQ, which I would doubt is an internet caff in the true sense but probably a very hi-tech zone. No doubt professionaly run as well. Interesting that my google mail is generating other scam mails. I havn't checked them out but the network is fixing itself on me. There can only be limited sources here and once my main bait is done I will close it down and start again unless it generates more network scam. It has been pointed out that we are monitored here. I think we probably get very many interested parties from Law enforcement who will spend time picking up our crumbs. We are, of course, volunteers here, and the stuff we bring home is valuable to a state sponsored intelligence agency. One day I may be an expert on baiting but now I just plod along straight, inventively I hope, and just continue to be an effin' liar as suits the purpose. Just a dedicated baiter making a difference.

@ schmoebob I got exactly the same one today to an account I baited Allen from earlier. He has either sold his list or is branching out on another project.

I don't know why he would want to contact a failed contact again but maybe they don't pay that much attention.

For some time now I've been reading through the various forums, but for some reason have always skipped over this one. Today I decided to visit it. Until now I've really enjoyed reading/listening/watching the various antics, then this. My thoughts are in parallel with those already expressed, I find it difficult to believe in just to what depths some people will stoop to. I hope he gets everything he deserves.

I have my own message for him :

If someone still talking to his original Mr scumbucket as well as the latest 'Accountant' could they send a message that simply says "Money transferred as requested" to Mr scumbucket and send a blind copy to the accountant.
I don't think I could be civil if I got involved.

I began this one but got ignored early. I have also received the Sergeant L M scam mail - but strangely enough not in a scam mail collector account - and not one I used on this bait either. I thought some lad was checking on me, but all I got was that it was received via a satellite provider.

However, as my address could only come from one of my current or recent baits, it may be possible to work out between us who that is.

If you're interested I'll sort out a list - it could be 10 or 15 I am ashamed to say. I need to attend mugu's anonymous. Laughing

I have searched for some keywords from this email, and came up nada. As far as I can tell, we are the only to have it so far, however it is only a few hours old.

It *could* be that he has added tags to the text to see if it does turn up and if so where.

Also by using that method, technically he could also put a code in each sent email text that identifies it with individual "donnors". (Paranoia mode off)

I think I agree with the current paranoia, this lad may have gotten the strange notion that a lot of his victims are coming up with not a lot of real money and his bank accounts close faster than he can send them out to potential vics.

Perhaps he is fishing to see if he can figure out which ones are baiters and which ones just too stupid to get the money to him.

I won't respond to the message as a baiter, although I might have my "foundation" send him an autoreply-looking message explaining our grant application process. Play the lad's own "cut and paste a standard script" game for a bit. Might get Mr. 4llen back on the hook if he is just checking to see if I am legit.

What you think?
