Probable ebay scammer

In my "real life" I buy & sell things on ebay. I received the message below as a *question* about an item I have listed for sale. From what I have learned here, it looks like a scammer has an ebay account. I have reported it to ebay. Meanwhile, others maight have alittle fun with the emails & web pages below. At a minum, the guy is violating ebay policies.

ive posted this site up in phone lads over a week ago and i found them spamming on flea bay.
my letter has gone in to ask for its
removal and another friendly nudge has gone in aswell and the site is still
active.

think it needs more letters or just that the hosts are chinese and up it stays

Hi Court Jester, when we talk about killing a site, we mean have it taken offline by reporting it to the webhosts/domain registrars, you can read more about bank killing, here:

My bro works at Verisign Anti-Phising Department. He mentioned that China is surprising co-operative in taking down fake websites. Taiwan, on the otherhand, is very difficult to work with in fighting fake websites. Taiwan tend to drag their feet...

Taking down that site is a good start. Smile

I sell / buy on ebay as well and am forever getting these SPAM messeges, they are one of the most annoying things. I have told several of them where to go in my replies to them and my email address in not getting >100 SPAM email a day. Has anyone out there tried baiting these guys before, or is it too difficult with them?

^^^^with ebay your real details are available, so not a wise idea to bait them. You could always bait from a seperate, safe account and they would have no way of telling you were the same person.

If I were to try to kill it, I would sent a complaint to [email protected] .

I would not use my real email, only a safe baiting account.

I also received another from a different "user" but the same links & emails.

I have sold stuff on ebay before, but never got these. But it has been a while. or is it the type of item?
