It was done once that I know of. Not sure if the trip was something that had been previously planned when it happened, since the lad's brother turned out to be in the US Army. Unfortunately for the lad's brother they were both arrested, and later released for lack of evidence. Apparently the brother was a tad upset with the lad for being involved with 419, not to mention that he was planning on having an affair while he was in the US.

I agree with everyone though that it's a "not likely to happen" event. Try to keep it within the same continent.

A lad with the resources (financial and mental) to make a big trip like that would likely be a very experienced and successful scammer. Probably not one to fall for a far-fetched bait. The most trophy/safari productive lads are probably the opposite of that.

It seems to me that the most ambitious baits would tend to filter out the sharper, more experienced lads, and typically only go the distance with the �right� lad.

Just like how the scammers probably succeed most often with victims that are not particularly savvy.

Scammers and baiters alike are largely bottom feeders.

Take a lesson from the lads themselves. Make up a good story, ask for small things, and build from there.

I target South African lads for the big safaris. They seem to have more disposable income.

Don't forget about lads in Europe. Obviously, you have to be extremely patient with those guys and build huge amounts of trust first, but I think that it might be possible to get one of them to safari. BW and I are trying it out now.
