@Rover - I miss my RD also but it started to smoke just like your photo but at idle. My last bike was handmade American but now I ride this with Campy and Dura Ace components, 16 spokes in the front and 18 in back.

I wondered about this subject and how many baiters ride...
I had a Suzuki GT 250 in 1976, then bought a used GT 750 (known as the water buffalo) in 1979 - 1980. [It is a two stroke water cooled monster.] Had kids, got back to riding in 2002 with a Victory Classic Cruiser with a Stage one upgrade.
Not riding yet, still healing from a non motorcycle injury. I will ride if the temperature is above 40* F. |

Nice ride!
I think the response thus far is good. I used to own a couple of the bikes talked about here. I started with a Honda 90, graduated to a Honda CL 360, had a Honda Elisnore 125 racing bike (crashed and burned on that one), then a Honda CB550, Honda V45 Magna, Suzuki 1400 Intruder, 1976 Harley Sportster(total piece of crap), Suzuki 800 Intruder, and now the Harley Softail. I love riding. It is second only to scambaiting now........ |

Can't resist posting that it's really cool to see all of these lovely 2-wheeled machines, whether they have engines or not! Pure beauty! If anyone here would be interested in a great deal on a brand new Fuji bicycle, PM me and maybe we can do a deal. (www.fujibikes.com will send you to the catalog. Probably won't be worth it to anyone outside the US, but if you want a really high$$ bike, you might want to contact me!)
Ride on! |

LOL I have a '74 550/4 - Orange. Parked it up a few years ago after the cam chain tensioner went at 160kph - still was running but desperately needs a rebuild. But of a heavy bike with a far too high COG but fun. Also have a BSA B25 Starfire (parked up too). |

@ Rover -My first bike was a 1977 RD 400. The injector pump gave out and I melted a piston on a long ride.
Currently have an '84 Honda CB750K but don't ride it much. Also rebuilding a '66 Suzuki X-6 Hustler. In the market for a Vulcan. |

I had one just like that before this one. Performance very similar, but the older model was much better looking. Specially the 4 exhaust pipes. |

Well actually the one I had was a "500", just like the one in this picture:
According to Honda, they replaced this model with the 550, which had more power and bigger tires. Still, I preferred the older one. But the 550 is up to this day a fine motorcycle. |

I have not heard from Joaquin.
If that isn't my husband, I will fall over. His jeans, shirt, and even the belt.
He also stands just like him.
Doesn't he have cute buns?
BTW, How come I could not edit that last post? |

I will think about this Radden. I have some forms for you to fill out and lots of questions.
Thank you, Joaquin! Lots of ladies would bid on that butt. I am glad it wasn't up for bids. You know your spouse's buns.

With the fund I will soon receive from Chuck Soludo I will be able to pay the price ... As long as I don't have to live with all of them at the same time. I can't stand the crap I have to take from only one wife. |

I drive everything on the road but motorcycles and semi trucks. Hopefully, the motorcycles will be changing in a month when I move to Florida, and it becomes a more practical vehicle for me. I've always wanted one. So for now, I am a motorcycle rider in spirit.
that has to count for something.
EDITED SIX HOURS LATER: C'mon, the wait for an answer on that is killing me... |

Yes Hugh that counts. A rider in spirit is only one step below a rider, and 7 steps above a non-rider. ( not that it really matters )
If you're in Florida during Daytona bike week, I suggest you check it out. Before you leave, you will know which type of bike you want. |

I had one of these when I was sixteen:
BSA Bantam D1
Co owned one of these for a while in my late 20's. But never really took to it. Expensive too!:
Yamaha YZR 250
