A Moneybookers account ??? mmmm They do have banks in Iran, and I hate to think what the official line is on Moneybookers. The e-mail comes out as Iran and so does the website. It came into one of my standard catcher accounts. What do you think ? Iran's in on the act ?
The rest of the site is in Arabic so I haven't a clue what that is about.

One year domain registration is suspicious for a charity, especially considering the size of the project and funds "collected" so far.
I'm no expert on fraudulent sites though.  |

The google translator has Arabic to English option.
Edit: On second thought - this might be Iranian, not Arabic. They use Arabic alphabet if I am not mistaken, but the language is more close to European languages then to Arabic. |

I am happy that this non-profit group started to rebuild this citadel, but maybe they missed the memo: the work already started 4 years ago.
Conveniently the e-mail skip any references to the Iran Cultural Heritage Organization's site - the official organization behind this ongoing multimillion $ project. (Many countries, international organizations already gave help.)
Getting into the game 4 years later with cents seems to be amateurish even for scammers. |
