One of the best bits of TV I�ve seen in ages. Found some YouTubery, but if you can I�d strongly recommend catching the repeat, the entire show was a riot.

I migrated from the northern US to the Southern US, and sadly I can say that this type of crap does go on. I can't decide if it is funny or sad. I do have a lot of fun making some folks look stupid without them having a clue. Only in America....................

We laughed til we cried watching the show last night! As always, irresponsible, childish, and just the sort of stuff we all want to do ourselves deep down! Or not so deep down in my case Laughing

The strange thing is the fact that they are serious. I used to go to South Carolina alot about 4 years ago and was told many times that " the Civil War is not over, The Confederate army is only regrouping"

Am I the only person to be shocked by those rednecks? Okay, it was really, really funny too - but FFS! We all hear stuff about attitudes in the deep south but I've always taken it with a tiny pinch of salt... I never believed they were quite that bad but those people lived up to the stereotype and then some.

Loved Clarkson's comment: "they're obviously suffering from an irony deficiency."

Most of it was the funniest TV I've seen for a long while, but the bit that did it for me was the look on the Hamster's face when he saw the cow, and getting it off the roof. Laughing

We get Top Gear here (Oz) but I don't know how old they are. Last night was the Great Bugatti vs Cessna Truffle Race and Nigel Mansell did the Guest Driver thing. I noted that shaving off his tache hasn't done anything to improve his 'personality' zzzzzzzzzzzz

For my money, Top Gear is the best show on TV. If I could only watch one thing, it would be that.

Jeremy Clarkson has also written a couple of books and writes for the Sunday Times (UK), all well worth reading for his acerbic wit and irreverent digs at everything and everybody. Most refreshing.

For those who missed it, in the last episode the three nutters bought three old yank tanks in Miami,. drove them up through redneck country, and gave them away in New Orleans - one couldn't even be given away!

The cars bore the slogans on the side :
Hillary for President.
Man Love is OK (in pink letters).
Country and Western is Crap.

Even before I became something of a car nut, I loved TG. Very Happy

The Top Gear site has some clips from the show, but not from this series' episodes. It does, however, have the caravanning clip, which is also very funny, unless you happen to have been staying at the same site. Laughing

The link to that is on the home page. The BBC page for Top Gear has this series but only episodes 1 & 2. There's a clip of the Hamster's crash, which is v v scarey. Shocked

It's amazing and brilliant that he survived it and recovered so well. Very Happy
