Oh happy day! 9 out of 10 stocks headed south on the day (at least on the S&P 500), and I lucked out and actually made some money. |

It's time for a change. Although given that I'm comparing apples and oranges here - Equity against Account Value - here's the list in order of percentage gains today:
Drmikehunt and 3strikes_out make massive gains. Unfortunately 3strikes_out still has a lot of ground to make up, but watch the leaderboard for Drmikehunt.
Trailing a good way back, but still showing their heels to the rest of the pack, TSNerd and HB419 are fighting for third place. TSNerd has a solid portfolio, but with only two lines, for how much longer? Whereas HB419 is depending more on big names, but is making them work well enough.
In the first knot of runners then, Jock80 would be doing even better if Ctrip.com weren't $726 down, LutherBlissett is showing more faith in CRR than I would and Ivorgc still has only one stock line, and it's still making money.
And so to those who only just made money on the day. Netaddict is actually making a profit from Ctrip.com - bought so long ago they haven't fallen that far... yet. Wokabo has some big losers and some not so big losers - but obviously somewhat less so than yesterday. Felchpuppet has a solid portfolio with some big names in. Thud recovers a little and takes some profits, leaving a blushing young portfolio (OK - red).
Squeeking in with a tiny profit on the day, Flipsetial still has two red lines and only one green one, but managed to make some money on them today, while SuperSexyTracey's small portfolio is showing some red for the first time.
And so to the losers. Just the wrong side of zero, Radden has a solid green portfolio, but obviously lost some of it today. Amberrose has nice diversity and green stocks, whereas Callum's portfolio has a little too much red for my liking, and loading's portfolio is solid red. Chc74 lost much more, but does have some green.
By far the biggest loser of the day, dropping almost 1% is Bustyn. Not many people could shrug off a stock line at -$1,200, but Callum wont be celebrating just yet.

You know what....... I made $500 on the stock market today, so I better get a boost up a few spots. I sold google (Microsoft is my next sell), because I was either winning big time on it, or losing.. So we'll see, I'm pretty sure that I'll jump a few spots by tonight (when they refresh the rankings).
I'm guessing I'll be in 18th or 17th place. |
