Firstly let me tell you that I am Scottish living in the former Soviet Union for the last 9 years. I have seen so many Vlad scammers. However, they are not all bad. In fact at the end of Feb., Svetlana, my beautiful Russian partner, and I are escorting a young lady to Scotland to visit a guy she met on a web site that has a very strong anti-scam policy, and that is the reason for their success. The Vlads dont last two days in this one, they are vetted before and during.

Good luck with what you are doing to the assholes and thieves!

fwiw the dating site he linked to is known to contain scammers.
not all ladies on that site are scammers, but its a long way from being 'clean'.
good luck to all decent people looking for somebody, and let's throw all the scammers down the well so our internet can be free!

Fair enough Stepan, but my experience here tells me that it's impossible to keep "trojan horses" out of any forum! I realise that a scammer can play along with the site rules until the scammee is relaxed. There's no way to counteract that modus operundi. BUT, they are traceable there from email and home addresses. Maybe this is the wrong forum for this discussion, perhaps we should be in the "general" category. By the way, Svetlana and I both speak Russian, so if anybody needs a translation doing, PM me pajjalstah.

dave, nobody with any sense has any notion that these scams involve 'real' people, from where ever they claim to be from.

the most annoying part of my endeavour is convincing victims that 'olga' is not a real lady, who he can remold into an honest person, rescue from the mafia, or hunt down on the streets of cheboksary and tar and feather!!!!

this is only about criminals, where ever they may be.

the scammers make it equally difficult for the real russian ladies looking online, as it does for the men.

Can you guys remember when a Russian woman was stereotypically an Olympic shotputter called Olga, on Anabolic steroids? They have changed in the last 15 years, haven't they? You want to be here, they are gorgeous, and I've got one!!!!!!
