This hit my Inbox from out of thin air.

Is it Kosher to add the originating email address? I'm new to this forum and I thought I better check first. Anyone seen anything like this before?

If you're worried about the address it came from, I'd pm one of the mods to help you look into it. I'm sorry but I've no idea what this email is about, seems a bit strange.

I just wondered if I should post it (the address) in case someone wants to play with the lad. I have too many working now to take on a new case.
I am 99.99% sure it is a lad but there is that REMOTE chance it is an innocent party that stumbled across my email addy. Ill send an innocent reply to see what is up with this one. It was so "out there" I thought it deserved some peer review.

The language seems very laddish, but if you're wanting to post the email for baiters to mess with, I'd PM Nurse Nasty. make sure everything is 100% above board.

If you post the headers (removing or masking the email addresses) we could have a look at the IP addresses and tell you if it really came from romania, but I'd say the best bet is to start a dialog and see if it develops into a scam.

I'm not a header expert but these IPs get lots of Google hits, none of them in Romania. I'd string it along as a bait and see what happens.

Ya, I did a WhoIs on everything that looks like an IP and got the same results, they were all from the States. Perhaps someone with more skills can decode the rest of the garble.

Gmail hides IP's, so the only way you can tell if this is a scam is to carry on the dialogue. The IP's that are shown trace back to both the UK and US, so one of them might be your own (can't remember if Hushmail masks IP's too). If you want to know how to trace IP's from e-mail headers there is a sticky in the Help Hints and Tips section.

To clarify, I have the Hushmail account, my potential lad has the Gmail account. I believe that smtp8 hushmail is a hushmail server.

I did send an innocent reply to him/her. No reply as of yet.
