UK IP address attempts to hack my email

I have had a "failed login" attempt show on one of my Fastmail accounts from

81.79.119.140

which resolves to Leeds in the UK.

There have only been a couple of lads I have emailed from this account, and they are both Nigerian. My username and password are saved, so there's no way I've failed, and the IP is different to the one I was allocated 10 minutes before when I logged in.

Is someone being naughty?

My secret mod powers show me that 81.79.119.140 and the IP you've just posted from resolve to the same provider and the same city (and it's not Leeds). So unless you forgot you've just failed to login you might want to question your bratty little brother about this.

edit: although I have to admit the subject you've chosen for this thread does have a certain ring to it Laughing

As an aside;
99.999999% of the time, lads do not and can not "hack" your email. Nor do they try to log in to your account. We have had maybe 5 claims of lad hacking since I have been here and each time it turned out to be the owner with brain fade. So start close to home and work out from there. Smile
