Has anyone else been mailed by a person claiming to be the above from a lad account in the middle of a bait?

It's probably not from the lad account as such, the from address is probably spoofed. Whoever's doing it is giving the impression he's gained access to the lad's account though, which is pretty stupid. Sending out warnings about scammers while giving the impression of breaking the law. Hmm.

There is someone who is either in a lad's account (hacking, illegal, end of discussion here, thanks) or is pretending to be, and who has sent a warning telling Raoul that the lad is a scammer. Pretending to do something illegal is also not very smart, even if it is with good intentions.

I have received a warning from this sender

giving victims the impression that he has got the info by hacking emailboxes is a very stupid thing to do as it makes the warning itself completely worthless (hacking is illegal and the vic will not like the idea that his mail is viewed/read by people to who it was not sent because its a breach of privacy)

Tell this "warner" that he is stupid (and explain why) Wink

Oh don't worry, I will make my opinion of his actions quite clear to him...once I am certain he is who he says he is.

What I don't get is that this idiot greets the reciever of the mail with:

Warning! and good baiting!

and then goes onto state the patently obvious...

The person that was using this email address is a scammer and thief, one of the worst persons of our society. Do not send any money, do not cash the checks as they are fake and do not send goods in any way - s/he will try to get you to forward stolen goods and never care that YOU can go to jail for it! if you have sent money, immediately attempt to cancel the payment. Then again what if this is a new lad tactic...?

Lads I have dealt with before, have pulled the 'I'm a young girl kidnapped by a gang who warns the victim they're being done over by a lad' scenario...halfway into a bait.

It wouldn't surprise me if this is the next logical step...after all, we baiters pass ourselves off as lads, why wouldn't cunning lads pretend to be baiters to evaluate a situation/waste OUR time?

However sending you a warning and then telling you 'good baiting'... Rolling Eyes

I've had lads try and convince me they work the EFCC and some other organisation telling me I can retrieve lost funds to scammers. Just ignore them from now on.

NN, the lads posing as govt officials/do-gooders are fairly transparent, but on occasion I have had dealings with some very sharp lads who have stepped in on a bait when I've been dealing with your average lad, suddenly I go from dealing with Mr CAPS LOCK to Mr Uni Level Education.

I just find the warning/good baiting statement to be the kind of conradictory and illogical thing a lad would come out with...while trying to be clever/cunning.

Lads wouldn't use the term 'baiting' - although you finding the statement contradictory and illogical, well yes, it is. It seriously boggles the rational mind.

What I find annoying is this idiot (associating him/herself) and linking to reputable, legitimate sites like aa419.org - This person may think like a lad, it's not a lad. I am 100% certain of that.
