I've always thought that it was a bit ingenuous (if not stupid) that they are always "mapping out" 5% or whatever of the total for "any expenses that may be incurred". I guess they don't think that people will wonder why there might be a million or so dollars of expenses (depending on the wealth in the trunkbox) that might be incurred. I have thought of asking them that, but do not want to do anything to educate them! |

It seems to be spreading. I just got this:

The funniest part is that I've only ever sent 2 emails to this guy, both of which were in July last year. I got bored with him pretty quickly, so never got back to him again. He sent a "are you there?" message in early december, and now (today) he wants to continue with the transaction. The money involved has dropped a lot, too. At the start it was $3.5M, now it's down to $100k (or is that $820k?).
Maybe I could actually have some fun with this guy...
btw, has anyone else ever had a lad describe himself as a "philantropist"? He signed his email:
