Seriously, my wife and daughter know what I do, although I don't think they really understand. They just know that I spend way too much time online!! I've convinced them that I'm doing a good thing, so they accept it. 
As for the rest of my family and friends...

My parents don't know. I'm their only child, so they're �ber protective. I figured it's not worth their paranoia and my giving up a hobby. In this case, ignorance is bliss. As for the rest of my family, they're all either scared of technology, too dense to explain it to them, or too young and na�ve to bait safe.

My SO is very supportive and plays a large(ish) part in my phone baiting. If i want to wind a lad up I just pass the "Ladphone" to her. Depending what mood she's in she can do "5 year old girl/ uber efficient secretary/wife of deranged man etc!!!
Lads generally hate talking to her, especially when she insists on asking about "whats the nature of your business with Mr X?"

My partner knows she found out after searching through the "my history" section as we had a shared account. We were in the car and she said to me "what is a 419 eater" so I explained. She isn't too keen about me doing it, we have only had 2 conversations about it, I just try not bring it up.
My brother found out by accident too. I was talking to my brother and we were having a laugh about him being able to provide cheap cable TV, I said I'd send him Payment via Western Union and just started quoting numbers. Out of the blue he replied, "I don't believe you you will have to get a tattoo and send me a picture first"  to which I replied you've been reading to many scambaiting websites mate to which he gave me a knowing look  |

My wife knows that I bait. She's interested enough to watch what I do and tell me that I'm doing it wrong but not interested enough to try it herself. Coincidentally, that's also how she feels about my other main interest (sex). |
