My new MUGU basketball site is up. The lads are going to play some ball for easy money. Or Not.
Please have a look and let me know if there are any changes I should make or ideas to add.

Looks really good Rollo. Maybe you could impose a minimum age for applicants to prevent the scumbags from entering their kids into the programme.

One remark.
I would use $500, $1000 etc. instead of 500.00, 1000.00
$ sign is magical. 500.00, 1000.00, etc. have a local currency undertone.

(In many big US cities there are similar programmes to keep youngsters away from crime.)

This is my first attempt at putting together a website. So I'm sure I have some other things that need to be addressed.

I'm looking to add a team homepage or banner example page but have no idea how to photoshop a realistic banner onto a group of people.
Can anyone help?

I don't know if you feel comfortable dropping names into the website, but Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael Olowokandi, Olumide Oyedeji, and Yinka Dare all are (were) from Nigeria.

You could also mention that it's dedicated to the memory of Yinka Dare (which, if you are a Nets fan, and remember his rookie year, he only played for a total of THREE MINUTES before getting injured and out of the season, earning $300K a minute ! 419! )

@shotgun : I will most likely be using your last pic in some capacity.
I am going to stay away from using real players names on my site, I think that might be a recipe for trouble.

I was reading the site and had a thought:

What if you also baited some "officials" to go to this thing and be judges, and make it a big meet up?

Great site, looks very good. I love the repetition of the song on the opening page. Very annoying after about a minute Laughing

No mascot.

Can't be much of a professional team without a guy in a funny suit.

While we can only hope the Bunny Guy (in bra) doesn't apply for the job and blow away the competition, it is truly sad that there isn't a contest for mascot.

After all, not everyone that loves the sport of basketball can play well.

And since the suits are hot and incentive pay "for increasing skill" will be hard pressed to make, 10,000 USD would seem appropriate.

No need for cheerleaders. We'll just hire the NPB (Nigerian Polka Band) lead on the crowds with the flower hat dance. Something about white shirts, blue "lederhosen," and hats with flowers on them drives them crazy!

Maybe you should have used the counters on http://www.sitemeter.com... you can set the 'starting' value for the counters on that site Smile

Eehm why not do the 'lad trick' and put in a fixed counter or one that adds 1 every 4.7 seconds? Saves us clicking, and once you have enough you make it solid or slow it down...

Oh and accentuate the digits a bit more, they SHOULD know that there is BIG MONEY on the site, and they'd better be QUICK to win that $100.000 NOW... well, you get the idea... They're lads, they have to be stupid to jump in, so they believe it's true if it's stupid eh?

I am trying to put some sample "entries" together and some team photos, but like I said, photoshop is not my forte'.

Mascot is being added...later next week.

More updates are on the docket, I just need some time to implement them.

Nice work Rollo. Are you publicizing the site for public use, or is it strictly for your own baiting and KKKKKEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPP OOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFF?

This seems like a great large-trophy opportunity, but I don't want to use it if that's not your intent.
