I have a lad who is supposed to be doing a lad to lad interview about the inner workings of the scamming business. He asked me to get a list of questions ready for him to ask. As it happened, I have come up pretty short. I cannot think of too much to ask. Do you guys have some suggestions? If your question is reasonable, I�ll put it on the list. I�ll keep you updated on the responses if I actually get them.

Seriously, Jojo, if there is any way to tactfully ask what annoys the lads the most, please do so! I am sure there are lots of people on this board that could put such information to good use.

I'd get info on the Oga network -- what % do the Ogas usually take, how many in their gang of lads, who introduced them to the game, most profitable type of scam, have they moved up in the ranks? Stuff like that would be interesting.

How long does a lad have to "write" scam letters before he is "promoted" to being someone who handles a victim?

What percentage of the respondents are thought to be baiters?

Are 419 gangs organized along tribal lines?

How many of them "obey" the "mugu don lan here I dey here ooooo" messages in the guestbook?

Are the ogas themselves organized?

Does the gang have more than one oga who reports to a head honcho oga?

What is their rank structure? Like we know there are the dog soldier scammers and the ogas, but offically are there seperate ranks?

Do these ranks have titles?

How do they earn the position of "Oga"?

Id be interested in how organised they are and questions along those lines

I can answer those. There is no "rank" or promotion levels. Oga only means boss. If you can get people to call you oga then you are one. Then you earn the title. There is little organization. Again, if you are smart you can get others to work for you, then you are a boss. He should be clever and can help others who depend on him. If you want to scam and you aren't smart enough or clever, you search for an oga who will help you. This puts you at the bottom and you learn and progress.

Come on. They are not a paramilitary organization. Smile

The don't have a graduating class of 2006 with certificates and names like catcher second class; catcher first class; chief barrister officer; two star barrister; assistant to the acting oga second class.

They are a lose band criminals who depend on someone when it is convenient and steal from each other when they can.

The only question that I have for them is, "How come all you pieces of sh*t think that God is not only OK with all this, but is actually trying to help you steal from people?"

I have never gotten an answer from a lad for this question that did not want to make me puke.

You are basically confirming that Westerners who fall for this crap are greedy. Of course the lad will latch onto that idea to justify his actions. Do not give him that chance. People who fall for these scams are not all greedy. Take, for instance, victoms who have fallen for charity scams or the many variations of check scams.

Even by saying "Westerners", I still think that this is a bit loaded. What about the jerks who were trying to steal from the Grace Orphange, right there in Nigeria? If you say Westerners, I know exactly what you are going to hear. "They enslaved us so they deserve it." "They steal our oil and other natural resources so they deserve it." And all of the other tired, old excuses that they use to blame others for their own immorality. I would leave that one a lot more wide opened.

do you find that using the religious beliefs of victims makes them willing to part with larger amounts of money? if so, what angle would you attack a victim that doesnt believe in god at all?

have you ever come close to being arrested by the police or EFCC? if so, what happened?

what does your immediate family think of your occupation? how far do they agree with you on scamming westerners?

it doesnt have a specific number of times. it depends on how the victime responds. you could be a sender as well as a person that handles a victim. the normal thing is that you should send as many scam emails as possible so as to increase your number of replies and this is why some scammers make use of some accounts that can send as many as 100 emails or more at a click (OF SEND).such accounts are not easy to open except you have a credit card.i know some scammers that send as many as 1,000,000 emails every day.they make use of such accounts.

LOL. this sounds very funny because you are speaking a nigerian vanacula. pls explaine what you mean in detail.

Oga means a BOSS.these days there is nothing like boss. everybody is a boss of himself. you can only have business partners that can help you to handle the areas you cannot handle and this is based on percentage. you and the fellow have to talk before he comes into the matter. there must be an initial agreement on percentage before you transfer the job to him.

dont have any oga. i have scammer friends a lot because i help them in selling laptops and mobile phones.i know many things about scamming because am very close to them.i know almost everything they do.

i dont have any oga

nothing like punishment in this business.everybody tries to be very smart.

for now i cannot answer that.its not the maga contacts that matter but the seriousness in the response

we shall discuss about that in details online. i think it will better discussed online than through emails.what do you want to do with maga contacts.getting you magas is not a problem but i have to know what kind of level you want to introduce to him/her.it depends on the format that the maga responded to.

many things. buy material things, pay tithe etc

good and interesting.actually, the job normally looks like a film.i.e. looks real.

its an upstairs containing 3 seperate Flats

i dont have any favorite one

i have not been using gmail before. can you tell me about it? i learnt its a very secure account but i dont know how true that is.

28. Have you ever been tricked? Described what happened.

yes, i have been tricked sometime ago when a maga sent me a fake western union payment to nigeria. he sent me only $10 and he told me it was $2,500. i tracked it online and discovered it was available for pick up;not knowing that it was only $10.

no. thats is just a format normally sent by scammers. such formats are common here

you dont drop any potential victim because he may rise up one day to start paying again when he has money.

yes.i believe the bible and i believe in God too.

i dont feel bad becasue i know that most of them are rich
