I read the story in the paper today and thought it was pretty out there. Looking at the video though it looks more to me like Tigger was trying to turn around while having one arm held by the kid and accidentally clocked him. Big fuss over nothing IMO

Spongebob Squarepants was in my town over christmas, how i wish i had a camcorder for that, every kid in the town must have got a dig at him, and with those puny little arms he didn`t have a chance to defend himself.

Just seen that clip on Channel 4 news, very tongue in cheek, big Pa was REALLY pissed off and poor doofus "yeah he hit me pretty hard, i could still feel it" lets experiment, rub your hand across your face and what happens? you still feel it up to a few seconds later,get someone else to rub your face you can feel it for even longer, (while you are at that try this one, you only breathe through one nostril at a time!! something to do with smell, you only smell through one nostril at a time, until you get an unfamiliar or "favourite" smell, put a finger over one nostril and inhale then swap, you will notice one nostril has more force, try it again about 20-30 minutes later and it will be the other nostril, now aren`t you glad you did that today!!)

Typical Americans (I'm American, and bleed red, white and blue). But, come on. I saw the video and it looks more like a "face wash" than a punch. I think the parents are simply looking for an easy payday. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if they put the kid up to something, in hopes of provoking a tigger attack.

I couldn't blame tigger a damn bit if he did clock the kid.
Living next door to the Rat for a number of years I have known quite a few people who have played charactors over the years.
You would'nt believe some of the crap these guys and gals put up with.
I don't know any of the guys who have NOT been kicked in the cajones many times by unruly kids who get edged on by idiot parents.
Some have been stabbed with sharp objects, punched in the face, grabbed in the groin and will be immediately dismissed if they utter a word in front of guests.
Up until a few years ago(until employee cutbacks) each charactor was escorted by their own security gaurd while in the parks because of all this unruly behavior.

I for one can't wait for the day Mikey goes postal on some poorly raised rugrat.
As for getting some Disney bucks, A women brought her kids during the opening of Animal Kingdom a few years ago. Spent a week at a four star hotel, toured all the parks.
When the week was up went to management for a refund stating she brought the kids to see the dinosors and was realy disappointed that Disney would pull a scam on her by using Fake Dinosors not real live ones.

She got a full refund!!!!!!!!!!!

^^^ It would be worth every penny if they got her to sign a statement that she would never return.

I saw the video of this Tigger attack posted up. What a bunch of crap. Let them sue. I hope Florida has laws where countersuits can be filed and damages awarded. I'm sure the little boy's college fund will be hit.

ps: I watched the video and thought it was not on purpose, they're just trying to make it look like it. Any little news that can get national attention is a law suit waiting to happen. The kid obviously will screw up at some point in court (if they go) and this case will end up being dismissed. If the Tigger guy gets fired for this, that's ridiculous.

Coincidentally, I'm currently re-reading "Native Tongue" by Carl Hiaasen, the funniest take-off of theme parks I've ever seen.

There's a scene where 'Robbie Raccoon' is punched by a visitor, and to maintain the kiddie fiction that the animal characters are real, Robbie Raccoon is loaded onto a stretcher and then into an ambulance (still suited up).

It is hilarious, and a good example of how good art predicts real life....

My cat's name is Tigger, and she's clocked some real dogs. The dogs don't even bark at her, much less go near her now. The notched ears are good for ID though on the pooches. Like a tattoo. Scenario plays out, cat on couch. New dog says "Woof, grr". Cat strikes like a lightning bolt, but faster, and at a higher voltage. Dog runs off, ""eeeiii, eiii, eiii". Everyone loves everyone now! Ear notch heals. Pecking order set. Cisco the new chihuahua was warned, but no. His head spun 180', and all is well.

Another slow news day in the U.S...that means something stupid will be blown up to rediculous proportions...we weren't disappointed.

People like this are eventually going to make it difficult for families (normal families, the ones who expect to pay for a fun day at a park and enjoy each other's company - not the families who are trying to screw their neighbor and anyone else who may get them something for nothing) to visit theme parks at all.

If they want to make a quick buck from the entertainment industry, pay them off and then deny access for them or any member of their family to any "public" entertainment venue again (including movie theaters, water parks, fairs, etc.) - EVER.

There, I feel better now....
