Sorry if I have posted in the wrong forum, but I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this. I have received plenty of phishing mails and I pass them onto phishfighting, I also received a fake bank one too but I deleted it as I wasn't sure what I was being lured into. Having read your info I now know what to do, thanks.

I have xxxx'd out my address as I did get somer badge stuff in other addresses, but this account is clean and is not connected to my others.

Do you think it's a spoof warning ? Why name a site "Phishing.Bank-277".

I am not unduly concerned as it didn't even get through the mail system and I have good security, but I'd like some heads up, and maybe it would help others.

Virus intercepted
A message sent from <[email protected]> to
<[email protected]>
contained HTML.Phishing.Bank-277 and has not been delivered.

I'll look back and see if I did wrong to post here , but thoughts would be appreciated. Sad

HTML.Phishing.Bank-277 is the name of a piece of malware, so this is telling you that a mail sent from <[email protected]> to
<[email protected]> was intercepted by Antivirus software and was not delivered.

You can google for HTML.Phishing.Bank-277 to see the details from various Antivirus / Anti phishing sites.

I don't think this mail is a scam, but the mail that was intercepted clearly was a scam.

Now why didn't I google it ? - seems to be a Trojan Spy

http://www.viruslist.com/en/virusesdescribed?chapter=152540521#spies

- and the moral is - only do this wearing full protection from a good anti virus.

Thanks for the kick in the head Gilbert

Wink

my brain usually works better after that - only joking
