I've seen similar "assassination" emails over the last few years, and quite a few baiters here will have also received them.

This item was in my local paper this evening, and when you read this stuff in black & white it sends a chill down your spine. Boy I would love to get these guys' contact info!

I never saw this approach before.. How can people send out these types of letters? are they sub-human? What idiots, I feel very bad for any victim receiving this type of letter and I hope the police catch these fools.

That is the lowest. That poor woman. OK, we find it funny to get a death threat, mostly because they have no idea who or where we are but to receive one in the mail, it must be the worst thing. Especially when you don't know how these scum operate.

Shiver, does that newspaper know about you and eater?

Maybe you could phone the reporter, Lesley Richards, and ask if they can get the lads contact info for you?

@Scam Patroller: Yes, they have done two items about this site, but in this particular case I think I'll leave the authorities to deal with them first. I don't want to possibly screw up a lad arrest.

I notice that the criminals spelled 'below' as 'bellow'.

I couldn't say how many times I've seen this error in standard 419 letters... has it shown up in letters from other than West African 419ers?

When the scammers want to sendout postal scams the buy Mailing lists.
Similar to companies that sell stair lifts etc,they buymailing lists aimed at over 50,or over 60.
It is not a coincidence that old people receive these letters.Old people are the target..

With regards to how low can they go?..... soul numbing low and then a little bit further.

You got me there Shiver, I didnt think I could have a lower opinion of scammers than I already did. I thought cancer victim scammers were bad, that pales in compararison to this disgusting attempt to make money.

See this with the phone lads - mention that you are an 85 year-old lady living alone and the b4$tards pounce, raising prices and sending repeated demands "Go to WU and make the payment NOW before our sell end" and that sort of thing.

SCUMMERS sounds an appropriate neologism for them.

These scammers are like non-essential insects (ticks come to mind). I wish there was a way to deal with them as the insects they are (squashed underfoot).
