), sometimes upgraded with some attributes... (although i'm not here that long, since last summer, i've changed avvy sometimes already, but i thought my Guild Wars girl a bit simple...)

Well, my username was a spur of the moment thing since I had originally signed up with a name I use all over the internet. Being from Louisiana and thinking "bait" the first thing that popped into my head was "minnow" so here I am, Minnow. Rolling Eyes

I often wish I had a more clever name but it gives me a challenge to come up with fish related avaters. I like my pirate one best but I've got a pretty good one that I put up in the next few days thus officially ending the bleedin holidays. Wink

Agreed, they do rock! I've never heard of them, but I have some friends in alternative radio that are soon going to be aware of Curve.....good stuff!

I've read a bunch of people comparing their to a darker version of Garbage (although they were out at least 5 years before Garbage formed), which was also an option I almost went with.

^^ To keep the integrity of the thread, either avatar will work mate...wether its Toni or Shirley its all good. Both bands are great! Oh and the station I work for plays Evenessense heavily...tey are a bit more "rock" then Garbage...though from what I have heard from Curve, they could fit in nicely.

In my first bait I whimsically decided to come up with a cast of characters based on fast food -- Juan Freizwidatt, Mack Nughette, Jack N.D. Bachs, , Pete Sahutt, and so on. The irony is that I never eat fast food, with the exception of In-n-Out Burger, a California institution based on real ingredients and super-high quality. But I feel obliged to keep my periodically-changing avatars in the same theme, so I have a series of mostly vintage ads for fast food. Variety is the spice, and all that. Very Happy

My current one is from the cover of a book from one of my favorite sci-fi series, "The Company Novels", by Kage Baker. (This one's from "The Life of the World to Come.") The character is a gal named "Mendoza."

I have another one I'd dearly love to use (I use it on LJ), but I'm not sure if I can use it here, as it contains a couple 4-letter words. It's truly amusing, though...
