For reasons that may become apparent, I am eager to see copies of the first few letters from Romance Lads and Ladettes that you get sent. That is before you start jerking with their minds ! !

Actual letters with photos etc would be perfect and I would be happy to PM an e-mail address of mine to send them to.

Unfortunately I have never tried my arm at this style of baiting as I tend to do other things.

I presume that some of you start by baiting straight at first to draw them in

Any help will be gratefully received

Thanks for that Fanny ....I have saved the page as an example of Date Baiting.

What I would like to get to is the stage where they are asking for, or hinting for $$$�� money.

To an outsider, they would be hard pressed to see where the scam was in there. Idealy I would like to see where the money sting comes in

maybe I got the wrong impression with what you guys get up to in this forum.

I was looking for the more romantic and subtle approach that would go over days or even weeks before the Romance Scammer would even start to hint about getting a small amount of money because he/she needed to renew an out of date visa or needed money for a medical bill.

This , of course, would be a precursor to requests for larger amounts to buy plane tickets or to pay a deposit to buy some land etc. It happens in real life.

The real life victim that I was in touch with some months ago (she lost several thousand) deleted all the mails after she realised that she had been scammed and was never going to get her money back or I could have asked for those letters.

The scam went on for months, swapping love letters and photographs and a one way supply of money getting bigger each time. It took a friend of hers quite a long time to persuade her what was happening ....Love is soooooo blind

I thought that maybe this was the type that you where trying to waste time with.

and after I told "it" it was getting cheated by someone wanting money for insurance, that it sounded like a lot to me we have this letter...

I play these vlads pretty straight, no comic relief or anything, I want
them to keep mailing me for as long as possible. At this point in the
bait I keep giving excuses about not having the money yet, need to get
paid first, thinking about it still, blah, blah, blah. The url
referenced above goes to some sort of insurance site, it translates
quite interestingly Wink

Personally I have my doubts about "uncle sasha", not sure what his
motivations are Smile

One of these days I plan to sit down and get all the pics I have been
sent organized and post a few, I have some very interesting interior
decor shots!

The Russians use prewritten letters called 'scripts'.
You can find a lot of the letters sent to actual victims, and some baiters,
at http://russiandetective.forumup.org/index.php?mforum=russiandetective

The russians put little effort into the scams until money time. Then it's possible to get them 'off script' and get a little more personal content, sometimes a sign pic.

The nigerians usually do some romantic crap, then ask for travel and visa fees, or money for emergencies. They're also very prone to try to get a victim involved in normal 419 stuff, after making contact in a romantic vein.
