when the frig is noon-tide? Can't be afternoon because that's after-noon. I was always under the impression that noon was midday so I assume noon-tide also means midday?

So what she(he?) is saying is they'll only love you until its time for lunch?

Actually as a figure of speech that does sound very lad like. Smile
