You'd be better off doing a few "normal" baits first, just to show how it works. Show her how they work with them first before asking for naked pics off the romance scammers. My wife would have gone crazy if I'd have jumped right in with a romance bait. Nowadays she doesn't even look twice when I have pictures of naked women on my PC as part of a bait, and will even go on "kid watch" to make sure neither son walks in when I'm checking out sites looking for where the lads get their pictures from. |

I almost added a "unless the usuals visit this thread and ask if you got the special pictures", but my wife was hovering somewhat close to my desk.
@on topic
I explained a while ago to her that most of the "girls" are really boys pretending to be girls. They don't do webcam, they won't get into anything to risque, its all about saying what they think needs to be heard to get some cash.
If your baiting one of the classic 419's (trunkbox, next of kin... etc) then show the fake documents or some of the emails and explain what your trying to do and why thats going to cause a lad some discomfort. If your baiting one of the Russians who'll not get close to a WU for a while, then your probably in a trickier situation.

Wouldn't touch romance baits for this reason. Didn't even tell my lass I had started baiting but she found out after getting suspicious of my secrecy over the past week or so and yesterday when we were in the car she came out with it "what is a 419 eater?" She seemed quite relieved after I explained everything. I think she thought it was a porn site. |

Openness is the key here. Everything I do, my wife can see me doing it and I have no problem with her seeing it. I'll often call her over to show her the latest development in a bait I'm doing. Everything is on the table with her, and that's how it should be if you're doing romance baiting. After all, you're supposedly falling in love with a member of the opposite sex. My wife knows I wouldn't cheat on her. She knows the "women" are almost always men and the naked pictures are usually stolen off some porn site or other. I make it clear there's no emotional attatchment to them, in exactly the same way they see me as nothing but a way to make money. |

My fiance is leery of my baiting for different reasons... I don't touch romance baits.. I don't want to start that fight between me and him....
I used to read those books when I was a kid!! I loved them!!
