I wouldn't bother with codec packs, they can buggar things up. All you really need is:

1) MP3 Codec (Radium)
2) AC3 Filter
3) MPEG2 Codec
4) FFDShow
5) OGG-Vorbis package
6) WMV9 codec pack

Looks like it's going to be a tough couple of weeks for lads.
Better write and warn them to stay out of cyber cafes for a while.
I'll send them this news clip and that video link. I'd feel real bad

If the EFCC *do* get tough, standby for an increase of scammers from those (easily reached) countries in West Africa out of reach of Nigerian 'law' Evil or Very Mad

No doubt they do.... but how effective are they likely to be?
The police in that region are (generally) as corrupt as the Nigerian bunch...

I guess the only positive thing to be had from this is that internet availability (certainly in Togo) is extremely limited and only to be found in Lome
I would guess (= hope) that this limitation is the case in Benin and Burkina as well
