@ false - maybe just back off a little OK? If you seem too keen to send money, etc, the lad will know he's been busted. Remember you are a 'naive and trusting young woman'. If you come across as Miss Pushy (and deffo if you send him porn) he'll disappear completely and there are much longer, subtle and more painful ways to burn him. Perhaps we should all sit back and watch the experts at work?

Alot of mainframe applications require caps as well as alot of accounting systems. Sometimes they are one and the same.

I'm sorry but I only had to read the original post to know that it was a scam. But as has been pointed out that's because we're used to this. It's perfectly natural to fall for things like this if you haven't come across them before.

(I was recently taken in by someone in real life. My wife wasn't, because she's known and worked with mad people before; I had no experience that would have prepared me.)

Look, 'Ray' is a SCAMMER and the charity is a SCAM too. You don't need to get any kind of 'verification' from anyone. The proof is here. Please don't put yourself through any more distress by clutching at straws that 'Ray' might be legit after all and everything will work out happily every after. He's not and it won't. My ties with Ray is over...especially this morning when he offered to buy me a washer and dryer but then expected me to "repay his baby" when he needed help. Yeah right! Okay, I was holding on to string there, but I see it now, in full view. He is a good scammer, but not good enough to have scammed me..

WTF? You have a lot of sympathy here but if you keep talking to that lying pr*ck it's quickly going to evaporate. If you are still in contact with him at all then he's STILL scamming you. We warned you he'd launch a charm offensive if he thought you were suspicious about him and, surprise, it sounds like that's exactly what happened. Ignore him. PLEASE.

I have just come across this thread, and find it rather telling as to the parasitic ways of these liars who will do anything, ANYTHING, to lure innocent people into their web of deciet. They are thieves, pure and simple. Possibly murderers too. @Flyakite, please listen. I know there are emotions there, but you have got to STOP all communication. The folks here are expert, and know what they are telling you. I, for one, am very happy you found this resource, before it was too late. The detective work the pro's have done in this case is just amazing. You have had a whole force of "PhD's" working in your behalf. (I'm sure some are PhD's). For emphasis, I typed 2 words in Caps, I never do that. So, this is important to me. >And, my rule is, if someone contacts me over the internet uninvited, it's deleted! If I don't personally know you, goodbye! < Well, I do accept scammers in a catcher account, but I'm real careful about who I pick to bait too. I keep as anonymous as possible, as invisible as I can. P.S. The "modern" world has nothing to do with it. Scams are as old as time itself. Ancient Greeks and Romans sold fake copies of marble statues and "relics" of the gods. People were scamming knights and pilgrims on the road to the Crusades. The Lonely Hearts scams of the 1940s and 50s were every bit as bad as Internet fraud. I agree that there is a new need to be savvy with a new medium, but people never really change (for better or worse).
