One of the fun things about baiting the Russian romance scammers is that they run their letters through translation software. At least once a letter you get something you just can't make head or tail of, so I propose we post them in this thread. Let me start with this one I had today

Carmen, it's also abbreviated from "Vladimir" - a common Slavic name. Basically it means a Russian or Eastern European scammer, equivalent to calling our favorite Nigerian scammers the "lads" from Lagos.

On some of the other Russian romance scam sites you may also see a vlad referred to as a "hairy Boris" - in other words, not a real woman. Wink
