Last night I received this email in my catcher account.

You might be asking, "well, what does this have to do with baiting scammers?!"

The answer is a lot

In both cases:

People, without given a fair trial or justification, are being forced into doing humiliating, torturous, or generally morally wrong things.

People who are being targetted are not considered human, but as a sub-human "group" aka "terrorists" , "towelheads", "scammers"

Some of the mistreated people turned out to be innocent.

Most of the people had no opportunity BUT to commit the crimes they allegedly commited, such as oppression from a boss, or need to feed their family, but this was not taken into the account by the criminals conducting these operations.

Of course, your case is that of smaller scale, but so are their crimes.
Your mission functions to scale of that of the criminals who tortured the Iraqi persumed 'terrorists' at Abu Gharib.

I highly advise that you cease your dispecible actions and leave these scammers, if they ARE scammers, to the professionals. These people are like you and I, and deserve to be treated as such.

I have consulted yor case with my fellow co-workers at United Nations press/journalism department 4A.
We have unanimously agreed that your organization, 419eater, is violating the code of human rights to a small extent.

Stop now, and tell others to stop.

Why not try to get in contact with these scammers, and try to solve their ituation by making arrangements for them, such as jobs or charities. We could also talk to their bosses to allow them to leave.

You're right, torturing these people and making a laughingstock out of them is much easier and much more fun, isn't it?

A friend of mine has told me of a case where a seemingly talanted 'baiter' got an alleged 'scammer' to write and record a song for him, and it was good. This same scammer could have, and should have, been put in touch with a local recording studio, not to be made a laughingstock of a handful of rich, excuse me for crude language, jackoffs, who disregard and abuse the rights of these people who are already oppressed by their corrupt government and abusive bosses.

Today, our department, 4A, of United Nations press/journalism, has created a private group to take control of the 419 scammer situation, and take the control OUT of the hands of irresponsible and corrupt organizations such as 419eater.

We strongly belive that our closed organization of people who actually know what they are doing will handle with these people in a more civil, and peaceful way, without compromising ability to stop these people in their actions.

We would like to ask once, for 419eater to disperse, for you cannot be trusted with the situation.

I don't know how he got my address, probably through a scammer or these forums. I'll admit, he has some valid points, though I'm sure there are people on these forums who can come up with some equally valid ones.

I wouldn't pay any attention to it, Keytool. It's a bunch of psuedo-intellectual goofy crap, there is no such organization, and the thought of UN Human Rights Watchdogs turning their attention on us is pretty amusing.

First thing to do is to delete the mail from your post and take it to PMs (IMO) - since he knows about eater. This seems like a great baiting opportunity. Edit your post and bait. His points are full of crap. Nobody is forcing anybody to do anything here. I know people in Nigeria who may not have the economic opportunity that we have in the west, but they are able to feed their families without turning to 419. It's an insult to these people to suggest that 419ers are in some way forced into their profession.

I call Bullshit on that. I'd tell him to f-ck off, myself. I doubt it's a scammer, since the english is too good. Could be one of the recently banned members out for a larf. Actually now I've gone back and read it a second time... and by the end I will be invoking the rolling eyes thrice times.

That whole email was a fantastical pile of camel dung. The drivel and verbal diarrhoea that must flow from the mouths of these 'UN Journalists' astounds me. The correlation�s between scammer, baiter's and the damage we do to 'innocent' thieves are weak. Based on no facts, no evidence and obviously no brains what so ever. I asked my dog to vomit on the floor to produce a more valid argument, and he did.

Their case is weak. 'Eater in violation of UN policy'. Pfffttttt (rolling eyes time)

These 'journalists', if they even exist (which I doubt), have no power to stop anything we do. These trolls are feeding off comments made by certain members here discussing journalists grabbing stories from this site and dramatising the facts. It is another poor attempt by simple minded jealous fools who are masturbating in their own pathetic cleverness to try and discredit this site and it's goals. This email is stupidity personified. They are reading the responses right now thinking they are clever, poking each other and giggling like school children, quoting us and enjoying another failed attempt at a shit-storm.

Is baiting illegal? Some of the stuff we make scammers do does sort of fall into a grey area.

Keytool - That grey area everyone refers too is just that. Grey. If someone actually bothered to even take the time to gather evidence and tried convicting a baiter, it would be laughed out of court. I personally find theft and murder a little easier to prosecute than a stupid name and a few emails. Getting people to pose in pictures, dress up as Santa Claus or even record a song... I really don't have to explain this do I?

Actually, (as far as US law goes) there is nothing inherently illegal about baiting, AS LONG AS we do not derive any sort of material gain from it (cashbaiting), send illegal items or substances across borders, or engage in any sort of h4xxing.

There's no law against lying.

The human rights argument would only apply if mugus were human (which, from the way they treat single mothers and retirees, we can infer that they are not).
