I'm not sure, but I sent the Olokun image to the mugu I've been torturing the past few weeks and got this in reply. @Homer: I really didn't know anything about the Yoruba/Igbo animosity until I started googling about it. Being born in 1973, the extent of my knowledge about Biafra was Jello Biafra was the lead singer of the Dead Kennedys before he had a serious falling out with Klaus Flouride (that name makes me laugh my ass off), East Bay Ray, et al.

There are some very, very raw feelings on the Igbo/pro-Biafran websites, even 30 years after the war. A lot of hyperbole on both sides, so it isn't very clear to me yet, but the Igbo seem to see themselves as victims of a society controlled by the Yoruba and Hausa(sp?). Of course, I can't take a couple of websites as speaking for all Igbos, but I am very curious to find out more now.
