Like browade said, I am curious to know how he's getting by money-wise.

Oh, he's not penniless, he just doesn't have a huge amount of money. He said to me he could buy another night at the jazz on the park where he stayed last night but he didn't really want to, because they were nasty to him.

They were nasty to *me* too - the last time I spoke to him, the reception woman called here, and said that he wanted to speak to me but "make it brief" - it came up with a 646 area code, which I know from Seinfeld is New York.. Wink

He will probably go upstate to stay with his friends tomorrow.. if he doesn't get in touch with me. I have turned the phone off for the time being.

I hope he gets arrested before going upstate, but in any event he's toast. This has to be the longest safari in the history of baiting and he'll never recover from this one, whether he ends up in Riker's Island or not. Congratulations on a stellar job!

@EK. I know you were having a litttle morality wobble about this one, but believe me, this isn't nearly cruel enough. Think about little old ladies sending these heartless, arrogant b*stards thier life savings etc and the suffering of one lad seems like a small redress of the balance.He must be absolutely confused to bits now.

Definately, even if he were stranded in Alaska and freezing to death, it wouldn't come close.

But I guess that would be nothing compared to the warm welcome if he ever faces his wife again.

interesting stuff; poor guy hope he learns a lesson after this. He should have had some common but common sense is not always common; at least with the scammers and thier greedy gulable victims

I would not call all the victims greedy. Many of the scams are getting more sophisticated and targeting the well meaning people also as evidenced by the fake tsunami relief e-mails most of us received. Many of the victims are older people like the retired gentleman I talked to last week that nearly lost his retirement saving to them over a business deal that didn't appear that illegal.

I really don't have time to deal with him today, I am sending him a message to say my bodyguard will come and pick him up, asking where he is, and I will tell him to wait there for my bodyguard when he replies me, and then post the address here - maybe some of the people from NY can contact the police and try to get him picked up? I don't know if my detective would be working today..

I wouldn't blame EK for being tired at this point. It's quite stressful when you're at the heart of it, with the mugu calling you, you calling him, you calling law enforcement etc.
Though, in an ideal world, turning your phone on and keeping him going is what's best.
