This scambait features the following characters:

Fred Davison (scammer): An employee at the International Trust Bank, Nigeria.
Dr. Montgomery Python (baiter): One of my baiting aliases, played by moi (obviously).
Ibru Williams (scammer): An executive at the bank where Fred Davison works.

The initial email was nothing interesting:

I am Mr.Fred Davison( AGM, Corporate Office)
Office),International Trust Bank Plc. I was personal
account manager to one late Engineer PETER Mark of your
country, who till his death was a contractor with
Impressario Nigeria Limited, Moenier Oil & Gas Consult
and Nigerian Ports authority.

On the 28th of November 1999, Engr. PETER, his wife
and their two children were involved in a car accident
along Gwagwalada express road and all occupants of the
vehicle unfortunately lost their lives. At the time of
his death,Walter had a deposit of $15.6 Million which
was proceed of a contract work he just concluded with
the Nigerian Ports authority.

The payment was made with an Ecobank cheque which I
personally cleared.Unfortunately, till this moment no
one has come as his relation for his deposit with us.
My colleagues and I humbly request your attention to
this matter so that we can present you as his next of
kin or beneficiary to his deposit. It is not a very
difficult thing to do especially as you share the same
last name with him and it will not take time too. All
we need is to change the name and particulars of his
next of kin to yours in our computer database and we
file in an application for the release of the fund

In the email, the bank said they wanted:

Thanks for the information, all the documents are intact excepts Letter of Administration which i will go and get on your behalf on or before close of office today.

I shall scan and forward all the documents to you later to night via attachment for you to pass it over to the bank as advised.

In the meantime, acknowledge the letter from the bank and inform the bank that you shall forward all the required document to them in the next 24 hours.

I will keep you informed my findings when i return back from the probate office later today.

Eeverything is almost ok except the certificate of cause of dearth and sworn oaths affidavit which I was told is about 3,652 bpds but due to huge amount of money I have already spent in getting the others I couldn't secure them.

Right nnow I am stocked. I don't have any more with me to fetch the remaining documents. At this junctured, I need your assistance to be able to get the documents. Please advised.

You claimed you have not heard of western union before and you don't know how it works, therefore I am asking you what other means is obtainable or available in your place that you can use in sending the money to barrister Godian Unaegbu so that him can help us preocure the requested documents and have it forwarded to you in the uk for onward submission to the bank?

Sorry for the mix up. It was a typographic error from my office secretary who sent you the mail. Actually, I told her to write March 22nd, 2005 and not Febuary 22nd, 2005 as contained in the letter mail.

Take note, Your inheritance claims shall be subjected to nullification after March 22nd, 2005 should you fail to submit to this office all required documents for proof of evidence that you are the legitmate heirs to late Engr.
