This is a bait in progress, one set up as a mass bait by another baiter here, who was playing the role of banker. The barrister is Steve Toure, and my persona is Phyllis Nahvydodd. Steve has just asked Phyllis not to send money to the banker until he completes his investigation of the banker, and he wishes her a pleasant weekend. Phyllis replies:

Quote:

Dear Barrister Steve,

As you wish. Have a nice weekend. I think I will neuter the cat. He's
becoming obnoxious.

Dear Phyllis,

I hope you had a nice weekend. Thanks to God.I will like you to send me some of the documents that Mr Khumalo sent to you for validation and confirmation with the bank.I want to be sure that everything is in line as to my late clients details.

Please do respond urgently.I will keep you informed. You have no need to worry ,i have all it take and wants to make sure no one falls victim.

Regards,
Toure esq

Mr. Steven Toure,

Thank you for your urgent email.

You have asked me to send documents from Mr. Khumalo. I regret that
Whacko, my male cat, has peed on them as they lay on the kitchen counter next to my printer. The smell was terrible, so I had to throw them out. This would be of little consequence, had I not deleted the documents
from my computer for the sake of security. So now I have nothing to
give you. I even deleted the receipt I had already sent you, so I hope
you have retained a copy.

This was the last straw for me as far as Whacko is concerned, and I did
as I told you I would - I neutered him. He didn't like it one bit, I
assure you. I am scratched all over my face and arms. I hope I don't
contract cat-scratch fever. Anyway, Whacko is now sulking in the sun
porch. He worries at his bandage, but I believe I have affixed it so he
can't get it off. He seems a much calmer cat now, but I don't know if
he will ever forgive me.

Have you concluded your investigation and are you ready to make your
recommendation vis-a-vis my sending the money to Mr. Khumalo? I fear if I wait much longer I will lose out. In fact, while I value your input
highly, I believe I have no choice but to go out early this morning and
send the money.

I hope you have had a pleasant weekend. Perhaps your email will be
awaiting me when I return from the money store.

Regards,
Phyllis

Dear Barrister Steven Toure,

I returned from the MoneyGram store to find your email. I regret that
your message telling me not to send money to Mr. Khumalo came a bit
late. I have already sent him the $12,000 he requested. Mr. Khumalo
seems such a nice man, don't you think? And while you seem to have some sort of personal problem with him, he has always spoken very highly to me of you.

Your offer to return money to me is generous indeed. Rather than do
that, however, could you simply send the money directly to Mr. Khumalo?
He has predicted that there will be additional charges in the
transaction, and I would like to build up a credit with him if possible.
There's a good lad.

You have not, in your concern about Mr. Khumalo, asked after the welfare
of Whacko, my male cat whom I have recently neutered with my
government-issue K-bar knife. When I was a sergeant in the Corps, I
used that knife for every imaginable purpose but this one. Whacko
appears to be doing splendidly, though his meow seems to be pitched an
octave or so higher. I see no infection, and this may be due to my
spraying of the affected area every four hours with Windex. One cannot
be too careful in these matters. In any event, Whacko seems markedly
better for the procedure. He is a much calmer cat, of that I am
certain. Speaking of which, you yourself seem somewhat overly excited,
Mr. Toure. I believe I can help you as I helped poor Whacko, if you
will but permit. Please give it some serious thought.

You will remember to send the money to Mr. Khumalo, will you not?

Please write me soon.

Phyllis Nahvydodd

Yes, I turned down some possible money. He was probably telling a lie about sending me money, but even if not, it would have been an illegal fake check. Not a good thing for Phyllis.
