I don't understand why people feel the need to announce their departures like this. Why could he not just stop logging in?
I am intrigued as to what he thought the site was about though. Any guesses? Was it a gastronomic site perhaps?

Maybe he was worried about receiving emails from the site to his regular email address. That is the only reason I can think of that you would want to unsubscribe.

Unless I accidentally signed an agreement that I have to view this site once a day. Shocked
