This lad jumped into google chat with a strange array of insults and script starts, truly bizzaro. I was able to find translations to pretty much all of his silliness but "I.B.B" is a new one and a mystery.

A search for "IBB" and Igbo gets references to "Former Military Head of State, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida", or a Facebook page for "Igbo Bad Boys".

May be referring to Ibrahim Babangida as Yas said. Not to wade into political waters, but simply to answer the question re the meaning of IBB and why a lad would mention it in chat, some Nigerians blame/associate Babangida's rule for the rise of 419.

If you use hangouts on an android or a ios device it will show you the lad's email address

^ Not necessarily. It depends on how the other person has their preferences set up and many lads have theirs set up not to show their emails. In that case, you will only see their name and their email is not visible or findable.

I had one hangout lad that I could hover over and see it but none of the others, must be how they have their account set up.

I didn’t know that. I haven’t run into that yet. I usually chat with them on the pc but went to the iPad to get their email for further taunting. That’s a bit of a bummer

Indeed. Usually when I begin chatting with a lad on hangouts, I immediately write, "Your email address isn't showing up here for some reason, what's your email again?" and then I don't allow the chat to continue until they provide it.

A quick update, he did indeed think I was a lad and I bragged about how successful I was and now I'm "testing" his technique by giving him baiter addresses to scam.

He's getting a little irritated.
