I'm back to bating after 8 year break. The new iphones make it so easy since back then. How is the general landscape... Are the lads a lot tougher and more suspicious than the early days? |

Welcome back khawk! Others will weigh in with their views but one of the biggest changes is that so many lads now bait from smartphones. This changes things a lot from the olden days where many used internet cafes and were unavailable much of the time.
The use of "mules" for payment has also increased a lot, many people have been duped into handling scammer payments through work-at-home scams. |

What are mules? And yes, I have seen a number of work at home scams coming to my email. What is the story with them? |

Money mules - they're usually innocent victims of employment or Romance scams (although sometimes they're complicit), who have been tricked into receiving the proceeds from other scams and forwarding the money on to the scammer.
They are very valuable to scammers as it is a lot easier to appear legitimate if you ask for money to be paid to a bank account in the US than by Western Union/Moneygram to someone in Africa for example. |
