I saw The Great Escape last night after several decades. I had completely forgotten that the names for Steve McQueen's character and Richard Attenborough's character were Virgil Hilts and Roger Bartlett.
Watching that movie reminded me of some baits. The fake names weren't plucked out of thin air. |

Of course not. Great movie,one of my favorites.Dont recall seeing a Virgil Hilts around here, but there is fellow by the name of Big X who has made a name for himself 
As the name implies,I tend to use names out of westerns. |

^ In addition to those two, I also have characters for Bob Hendley, Louis Sedgewick, Colin Blythe, and Eric Ashley-Pitt. The last two are basically just catchers though. |
