Nice trollololol and if I understand it right a definition of straight baiting. Hope to see the likes of him at various ITSEC conferences. It's not only funny it's ethical to an honest jagged edge. That was pretty funny, but pretty low level baiting, no?

There are people in this thread who have had lads travel thousands of miles, waste thousands of dollars, etc. (looking at you Juan haha)

I think all the baits published by Shiver are infinitely funnier, as well. Also the baits by YeaWhatever are literally laugh out loud funny (Road to Darfur and the Skeleton Coast).

"Unimaginable Bastard Pig" could be the funniest thing I have ever read in a bait, especially considering what he did. And the absurdity of the Skeleton Coast bait where he had a lad rent a ship to recover a brief case floating in the water could be the most absurd and hilarious thing I have ever read regarding baiting.

Hell, TM and Britannicus (and Dr Mike on one or two) have safaried 4 lads just this year alone!

It is fairly rudimentary baiting, but still funny because of the way he describes it. It could also be useful for raising awareness of what we do. Maybe we should start plugging Eater in the comments. Could be a way to recruit some talented baiters.

I would rate it "meh!" Hearing him tell it and watching the audience react with laughter made me feel like I was watching the same movie for the twenty fourth time. Somehow, I wasn't laughing along with them.

I recall seeing this somewhere before on the net, I think he used the same bit (or something similar) as part of his comedy routine before this.

It's pretty average baiting, even if not a safari or something epic like that, it does seems sort of 'meh' in the cleverness category. I'm sure it's heavily edited as well considering he has time constraints. Still, I guess he was the one that made the effort to put himself out there so good for him. I do agree Big X, it seems like there have been quite a few new folks show up here on Eater in the past week or so, probably because of this. So that's a good thing.

Call it the big bag H word, that's the hell on you. How do you think IT security was formed and please don't even mention that big bad H word when I mention IT security. I will troll you staffer to member end of the days if you do that because guess what, same side of the spectrum (as covered in stickies as the people you DON'T mess with) but looking at a different part of fraud or maybe a different perspective. Thank God this is general chat and I would encourage baiters to attend TED talks or DEFCON or Black Hat or CCC or any other talks that build people and enhance their knowledge.

That said I equate this TED talk in this speech to that link and many baiters should consider it. Remember the kittens, this is the most simplistic way of describing this and guess what? Simplistic is dangerous because people are stupid. This includes your lad, feel free to work it.

Using code words for salient, lad-speak locution, was possibly the second modality I learned from here after the classic <Download Link> wheeze.

There was an early take up member, who specialised in getting lads to add more and more code words to their mails until they became virtually legible... Illegible?

Member, Eatyogreens possibly? They've long retired from the sport whoever it was.

It's always amusing when someone from the media or entertainment world discovers something that has been going on for years, and repackages it as new or somehow acceptable because they partake.

I'm with Big X on this one. While the guy doesn't necessarily seem like the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to baiting safely, he has a platform to speak from and he's raising awareness about it. I think his video, along with some safe baiting guides, might actually attract a whole army of talented baiters. He also has another video on his website, http://veitch.me/ and some upcoming events that sound like he's taking "awareness" to a whole new level. Idea
