Hi everybody,
This is my first thread in general chat but I did not wish to ninja David's thread. This is to say RIP to Alan Rickman one of my favorite actors. I was shocked to hear of his death earlier on today. He played the best villain in Die Hard and is most famous for playing Severus Snape in Harry Potter.

Another fine acting talent gone.  I don't follow the Harry Potter franchise so I haven't seen his Severus Snape character. However, I thought he gave an admirable portrayal of Eamon De Valera in Michael Collins. |

He was excellent in Sweeney Todd as well, the very incarnation of corruption and lechery, even with the Judge's part sanitised dramatically from the musical. It's been an unhappy month for British talent. |
