Not to divert or hijack this thread, but here in California and other mid western states, we gather every year to honor our veterans.
We traditionally fly in a US flag that has been flown over a US military base in Iraq, properly retired and shipped for our flag renewal ceremony.
This is held on the Saturday noon prior to Veterans Day for travel convenience.
