So, I have a question. Has anyone ever received any indication from a lad who has not been baited that the lad community has heard of the Gomers, either as a gang they really believe in or as something they know to be a creation of us Jokers. I ask because of the following exchange I had.

Background:

I received an inheritance format, responded with a typical "I'm interested," and received the follow up format. I confirmed I would help and we went back and forth mostly on script for a few days, then went off script as we talked about me flying to meet him in Ghana. My character was concerned about gang activity and wanted to clarify security details (just trying to establish he is paranoid for future purposes) then I received this response:

Well for security we can provide you with all you will need so please don't have any concern about Boko Haram, terrorists, scammers, GOM GANG, abductors or anything....(insert crap details about security costs).

So, yeah. Now this is an email address that is fairly new and I don't think it has been twigged before. I never used the term gomer in any correspondence. Is gom a term for something else in West Africa? Am just very confuse.

To make things more bizarre, this was the last thing he sent and I haven't heard back in three days.

Any thoughts what is going on?

Why not simply write, "I know of all those you wrote about, but what is GOM GANG?"
