Picked up a couple of lads on Mingle2. One is Pakistani, asked for money almost immediately. Now is yapping on about getting married and that we need to do it legally so that he can come live in Canada with my character. I'm going to try to load the conversation so that I can share it with you guys and get some feedback.

Me : No, I have a roommate. She needed a place to stay, so I rent her a spare bedroom.

Me: She will leave as soon as she finds her own place, I think. Then I will have my house to myself again.

if he wants to get married and move to Canada with you, can I suggest a long form for him to fill out? it's a homeland security thing. and you know how the government is, they gave you the wrong form so now you have to fill out this other one...

^^ You could do that as making them waste money on anything is good. I would say it depends on if you're still in this getting to know you stage. If you are you might want to just keep playing it straight until he's fully hooked.

I'm on my phone most of the time as well. It can be a pain!!

I've been sending him links to all sorts of info about moving to Canada. He keeps telling me he will look at them, of course.
Probably can't do it now that he is bed ridden due to the sudden onset of low blood pressure. Lol. Next he will be hospitalized because of thinking too much.

It seems to be a major problem. That and their blood pressure. I have to laugh every time. Thinking too hard. Must be what's wrong with society in general these days.

I love how they get sick so quickly. Must be the weather. Inwas talking about snow with this one. He assumed we just shut down and stay inside. Yeahhhhh, from November to April. I had to look up the weather where my character lives. Brrrr.

Might be a good for him to have that assumption! My BJ and Luby characters live in North Dakota and in the winter I have used to snow for all kinds of excuses. I've been stuck in my house because the snow is so deep I can't get out the doors, the roads are covered in ice and I can't drive, frostbite!, etc. They buy it all! Laughing

Why wait til winter? There was that weird polar vortex thing in July! That must have made the roads to icy to go out. You can send long papers and info on "climate change" too? Make him watch that Al Gore movie? He does appear the have plenty of time, being sick and all Very Happy

His new thing is that it is hard to get a visitor visa to Canada. Therefore, I need to come there and marry him. Have proper Pakistani wedding. Which my family will be expected to pay for, I'm sure.

Sounds like a safari to me. A short one at least...you should fly in...to the wrong airport in the wrong city. And ooops it's too late, by the time you get this message I'll be on a plane headed for you in XXX city make sure you're there to pick me up. I did this twice to the same lad, he was very, very unhappy with me, but always kept coming back for more.

Oh if you do fly in, make sure you're bringing PILES of cash for "expenses" LOTS of ways this can go wrong...you can be mauled by a polar bear on your way to the airport, be detained by customs for having too much money, or simply got the flight numbers mixed up, send message "from" the Paki airport "where are you?"
