Are you settling into Lugansk? I hope to god you're safe. Seeing the street battles going on on the news and the Russian involvement makes me very concerned. Again, I think we should think about trying to get you out of there.

I'm not using money transfer places Period. Especially not in a war zone. I don't care if your friends picked up some cash-you don't know where it was sent from. In addition to being freaking dangerous to carry $1500 in cash around where there are firefights going on, those places are a total scam. I've already sent you the links-they are under indictment for money laundering both here in the US and in the UK. And they want you to pay for the the transfer that might never get there. No way, Jose. bank account only and hopefully your mom or other family member can come up with one.

This is why I offered to to break this off. You'd be taking a piece of my heart with you. If it was at all possible, I'd come and get you, but the State Department is not cool at all with private travelers going to Ukraine.I don't want to hurt you baby and I'm hurting enough if I lose the most gorgeous woman I ever met, but there's only one way to go.

I've been checking up on the politics pretty closely-I work for the Federal Government-they own the lab. And it ain't looking good. I'll be thinking about you.

Fat Boris doesn't care if you lose money. His emails only speak of money, not love. It's mighty generous that the translator is allowing emails to go through, but no talk of love, only money? It's funny how Fat Boris is not concerned about you losing money, perhaps Dear John should lose some money. Has a vlad ever fallen for the secure WU site? That's also why I'm trying to get you enough money to not only write but help out you and your family. The first transfer failed, so what? Find an account so I can get enough to you. to help you out. If there's a bank that will receive dollars, can you get it in both currencies?

miss you too. Your letters have become a regular part of my day. I walk into the lab and check my email the first thing. Your photos I keep at home. No way I'm going to let the other guys hear have a look.

Because of all the storms we've had here recently, surf's been too rough for about a month. I'm looking at getting a smaller size wet suit for you-you'd look pretty hot in it. I have an older, smaller board you can use and everyone on the beach would be blown away by you. I really hope we can find a way to communicate and eventually get you here. You'd love Florida.

After a week of two line responses, I got annoyed:

I miss you unbelievably and am getting pretty tired of two line emails when we have so much to talk about. Find an account so I can transfer the money and we can get talking! And bank account would also let me help out your family- the situation is so unstable, even though Putin is "withdrawing" the troops. I worry about you all the time and two lines in an email just doesn't do it.

And voila, a second piece of vladish bacon, although the twerp sent it as an attachment!

And it's bacon! Got a short email with the bank and beneficiary account. It only took a month and a half to pry it out of him. Interestingly, he has moved to Lugansk-the bank is located there rather than the Crimea where the first account was located! I have a feeling this is going to end rather abruptly but it's been a fun 4 months...

After a couple scripted "I miss you, where's the money" three line emails, I got bored and sent this:

I doubt you'll be hearing from me again. This whole transfer thing has gotten me into a crap load of trouble. What's up with your mother's "friend"? Did she know she's on a warning list? The bank calls and tells me that the transfer is "frozen" . The money is being held and some guys have questions for me.

Then I find out from work, some dude has been asking questions. Babe, I work in a government lab and have a security clearance. This is no bueno, get it? I don't know if it's your friend or translator (who's reading this) but I don't appreciate the hassle.

Babe, I love you and all that, but this isn't happening. All you do is tell me to send money and don't talk to me. Now I've got problems because of all this and you don't even send me an email

I was stoked to hear from you! I had to write that email to explain what was going down-somehow me trying to transfer money to accounts in the Ukraine triggered some weird kind of Security Alert. The Assistant Manager of the bank called and told me some guys with HLS were asking questions. And you gotta understand, baby, I work in a laboratory that has government contracts-I have a security clearance (hope that can be translated?). So there were some questions at work about who I'm talking to in Ukraine-I explained I had met a beautiful lady who needed some cash, but Security wasn't happy.

I worry about you all the time What I see on CNN and online is not cool and the violence looks out of control. Nasty, I never asked-are you of Ukrainian or Russian decent? Baby, I don't do politics, but I need to know you're safe

When I last talked to my bank manager (and had to have a face to face with those HomeLand Security dudes) they told me my account was blocked -but I'm not sure whether the transfer went through. My on-line account still shows the debit. Lady, this landed me in a major crap load of hassle and I don't like those dickheads asking me why I'm sending money to the Ukraine and dissing my gorgeous lady!

Luckily, Security at the lab backed off. I told them what I did in my spare time had nothing to do with my work and that our relationship didn't involve my work. That's why I've never talked about it.

I worry about you all the time with the unrest and violence going on. I wish there was someway of getting you and the family the hell out of dodge. Tell you mom's friend to check-it's transaction code "224".
