I saw that one, it's sad. Glad she recouped some of her losses, but I think the biggest loss she will have is her trust and the emotional toll it has on her. Money is just money, but what they steal emotionally from a victim can't really be replaced. (I am not making light of the money loss, not at all)

You are right; there is an enormous emotional ordeal involved in being scammed. I sure hope she is getting some support to get through all this.

I get totally p*ssed off about this type of scam-it's not just about the money. The scammers take a victim's self-respect, dignity and trust. Truly damaging.

It truly is the emotional portion that causes the most damage. The lies become deeply imbedded in the heart. It's a game for the scammer but it's about a crushed dream for the victim.
