No question. I am experimenting around with coming out in my first letter telling them I have read about translators holding clients up for money. The vlad I am currently baiting assured me his translator was different. Right.

I am not educating these clowns-there's a ton googleable on this scam.

I have seen these work 2 different ways so far. Some give it a few days for the build up then slam the door. Some will build you up while claiming they are working extra to pay for the translator then say they lost the job or were fired and can't do it any longer.

I hope you will post up what you are working on when you feel comfortable so we can see how it went.

thanks for the props, NV.I'll probably put up a thread tomorrow. It just seems to me is warnings about the translator scam are everywhere, totally pervasive. So how do the vlads react when someone calls them on it early?

Derrick, however there is a problem which can ruin
everything.. In my second letter I honestly told you that I
do not know English and I have to use translation service.
The problem is that I am not able to pay for translation
service anymore.. I honestly tried to pay for the
translation as long as I could. Without even knowing you I
decided to give us a chance and invested time and money in
our correspondence. So far I am very happy with the results
of it! I have never had any intention to ask you to help me
with the translation of our correspondence but if I wouldn't
ask you for this we would simply lost our contact and you
might think I was not serious or just not interested
anymore.. I wanted to use some alternative ways of
translation and asked one of my friends to get me electronic
translator and she did it for me. But when we translated my
letter to you it was real nonsense and people at the
translation agency had a good laugh.. However I got very sad
because I felt that I was very close to lose you.. I also
tried to write you in Russian but I came to the Internet
cafe and there was no one to help me with it.. I was so
helpless and felt myself so stupid.. So, dear, no matter how
bad I feel about it, I still need to ask you for your help

Yup, that's it. 4emails in before the demand. Just curious, but is the IP the same? Just hope that this vlad hasn't jumped on the PayPal train-that brought one of my baitss to a halt I went ahead and wasted a little more time with the fake MG slip but no way I could get an account.
