Would you quit your job and bait full time for the same pay?

Just a random thought. Would you change jobs and bait full time for the same pay? However just like a real job you would be expected to perform and work diligently.

I think I would even though keeping track of 20-30 lads at the same time would be a headache.

NO. Cause now you can get up and walk away and take care of RL stuff when you want to. Ya know things like the honey dew list. I think having it as a job would take all the fun out of it.

It would also be a great reason for bringing in more professional tools for keeping track of lads and baits - tools that costs money, like a CRM system, for instance. Wink

I don't think I could do this full time even if I was paid for it. I don't like being cooped up in front of a Putter that long. Like Frumpy, I think it would drive me Bonkers after a while. Might be able to do it as a Part-time job. I'd have to see the Risky free benefits package.

I had this discussion with a fellow sitekiller a few years back. Wouldn't it be awesome to have our own company and contract out to hosters/etc. who have underpaid, overworked and less-experienced abuse desk personnel? We could fill in as contractors for a handsome price! Yay!

Took about 5 minutes to realize we'd be underpaid and overworked as well, AND would have to hire other less-experienced folks to handle the load.

It was 5 minutes of brilliance, though. Razz

I couldn't do spambaiting as a job. This I can basically do at my own leisure and take on as many or few lads as I wish. I can step back a for a moment to reformulate a plan or drop a lad if things are going nowhere then pick him back up under another character in hopes I can push things forward this time around.

@Fae, I'm with you there. I wouldn't bait for a living (it would get old fast if I was doing it all the time), but if I could make money out of site killing, I'd do it for sure.

I couldn't bait for a full time job. It would just be to narrow for me and limiting. Now working a job in IT security or as an analyst where baiting was only one part of that job and for the same pay I'm getting now?

I'd do it part time, and as part of a larger job description. So, if it involved bringing down scamming rings, then I would definitely do it, because I'd need to take down sites, scam baiting, arresting people, taking down bank accounts, awareness programs, etc. instead of just plain old scam baiting!

By the way, I used to have a job, don't have one currently, but I'm only a teen who hasn't left home yet... so no sympathy needed!
