It ain't the title of an AC/DC song (although it could be), and it ain't the name of an 80's Hair Band (that would be a cool band name). It's what happens when a stream of warm air is chilling, not bothering anyone, and suddenly a stream of really cold air comes along and starts trouble. I know this because that's we've been experiencing in the midwest. Droped about a foot of snow in an hour, complete with sounds of thunder and lightning. I drove into work today, and every mile there was at least one car off on the side of the road, covered with snow. We got the ThunderSnow yesterday, and some people were just too damn stupid to stay at home. Fun times here in Jayhawk land! |

Fun times here too... You step outside, you begin sliding and you slide all the way to your destination which is where the ice layer finally ends.
It's about minus million degrees outside and wind ain't really helping.

You must be near me JayHawk, I am thinking a tad north, but we got that a day or so ago too. Not quite a foot of snow but very light, large and fluffy type maybe a few inches deep. We got rain and sleet before the snow. |

We had that in the UK, north east England a few weeks ago. Lots and lots of snow, and in the middle of it falling, thunder and lightning. Very pretty, and unusual around here, but glad I was indoors! |
