Currently having a bit of baiting fun with Burk3 here (excellent choice of name, I feel!) having received this email.

His IP suggests he is located in Illinois.

After a bit of back and forth, I have the fantastic lines that he will be my 'James Bond in China', that he does things 'quick, safe and clear, just like a killer' and a lovely passport and a couple of photos of him, none of which are the same person but hey, they're all pictures of Oriental men - isn't that enough to make them believable?!

I know where I'm going with this, but what I was wondering is where is this lad going with it? Anyone dealt with this kind of scam before and when does the 'money moment' come?

What leads you to believe that he is a scammer?

It's an unsolicited email to an address that is in no way connected to any business for starters - something I find quite suspicious to begin with.

Secondly, his (freely offered) photos don't match up with each other. They're different people.

Thirdly, I've got to the money moment now... £3000 up front and he will start working for me, without even asking what company he will be working for!
